Hello Google Plus image filters, goodbye Instagram?

Google Plus is really starting to step up their game. I am really impressed with their new image filters they just released. Just like Instagram, you can now apply image filters to your photos on Google Plus. But it’s more than what Instagram can do, with additional filters, settings, adjustments to really change your photos. It’s basically a light version of Photoshop which just set apart Google Plus from the rest.

Forget a smart phone, how about a smart arm!

Trevor Prideaux who lives in Britain was born without his left arm [pictured inset] and used to have lots of problems trying to use a smart phone with one hand, with his other being a prosthetic arm with a hook. Google isn’t upgrading their flagship Nexus One to the new Ice Cream Sandwich flavor of Android. Why? It’s “too old”.

The Nexus One was released on January 5, 2010 — not even two years ago. 

Apple often gets dinged for cutting support to older hardware, forcing users to upgrade if they want the latest and greatest software. So I feel it’s necessary to point out that the iPhone 3GS is 7 months older than the Nexus One. And guess what it runs? Apple’s just-released latest and greatest operating system, iOS 5. 

The iPhone camera has grown up, drool

The iPhone has always been known as the smart phone that is lacking in the camera quality dept. Apps, speed, design, intelligence have all been great qualities of the iPhone and has made it what it is today. The camera though with the previous versions was nothing to write home about. Thankfully, Apple finally addressed this in the iPhone 4 and even more with the iPhone 4S version. Now, the 8 megapixel image quality is much better.

Facebook explains security and adds Trusted Friends feature

Facebook is introducing a new feature in a few weeks to try to make gaining access to your account easier when you are locked out by adding “Trusted Friends”.  With the new feature, you can provide codes to trusted friends, so if your locked out, they can help you get back in.
